We are proud to announce the AMJA has been authorized to host the newly formed North American Tournament of Mah-Jongg with a champion being crowned each November. This "invitation only" event will be held each year at the spectacular Taj Mahal Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, NJ.
The champion will take home the grand prize of $5,000.00 ($3,500 if fewer than 150 people enter). Eleven other finalists will also take home substantial cash prizes. The champion will be lavished with additional Mah-Jongg gifts and prizes, a free entry to each November's future tournaments, as well as a beautiful trophy designed just for the champ. And to top it all off, they will have the privilege of crowning the new champion the following year.
THIS EVENT IS SCHEDULED TO BE FEATURED ON MULTIPLE MEDIA OUTLETS
The playoffs will consist of the top twelve highest-scoring players, and will take place on November 30th, the last day of the tournament
